Why 30 Chairs?
The most important conversations rarely happen on a main stage. They happen in small rooms, at a single table, between people who set the terms of what comes next. 30 Chairs was created to build one of those rooms in Africa — deliberately, annually, and cross-sector.

Why It Matters
“The most important conversations often happen in small rooms.”
30 Chairs is designed to create one of the most powerful rooms in Africa.
The Communiqué
Every insight shared at the table is captured in the official 30 Chairs Communiqué — a formal record of the conversation, signed by all thirty participants. It is 30 Chairs’ lasting output beyond the room.
Your questions.
Who can apply?+
Women who are building organisations, leading teams, creating impact, driving innovation or shaping industries — one per sector.
Can I nominate someone else?+
Yes. The form asks whether you are applying for yourself or nominating someone else, then shows the right questions.
Is there a fee?+
No. There is no online payment. Confirmed chairs are contacted directly.
What does 'invitation only' mean?+
The room is closed and curated. Attendance is by direct invitation after review.
Where does 30 Chairs take place?+
Venue is communicated privately to confirmed participants ahead of the date.
Is it different from the DIMAS Awards?+
Yes. 30 Chairs is a leadership conversation. The DIMAS Awards is the annual recognition ceremony held in October.
Apply — or nominate.
The 30 Chairs form will ask whether you are applying for yourself or nominating someone else, then present the right questions.
